Authored and Custom Operators
EA material separates field units into Authored Operators and Custom Operators. Authored Operators are named characters tied to the story and carry unique Talents. Custom Operators are recruits you create and hire at the Den.
Hawks is the player character and squad leader. Hawks is authored but customizable, and is separate from the six companions who join through the campaign.

For each companion's Talent, class rules, and loss conditions, use the companions guide. Rankings from individual publications are opinions, so this cast list does not turn one reviewer's tier list into a universal order.
The Caisson and Den Personnel
M-3VO is a bipedal utility droid who flies the Caisson and serves as a pilot and medic. The supplied cast material also names Runa Blask in Operations and Finance, Bennic Halloren with Republic Intelligence, and Neesh Renark in the Armory and Black Market.
These support characters are distinct from the deployable companion list. Their inclusion here describes their confirmed place in the cast, not a claim that they can all join tactical missions.
Confirmed Antagonists
- Kundri Fathom: leader of the Infinite Coil.
- Visser: Fathom's lieutenant who leads the group into battle.
- Typhon: a super tactical droid described as an asymmetrical-warfare specialist.
The supplied material does not reliably establish every antagonist's species, complete history, or final campaign outcome. Those details are omitted to keep this page useful without turning it into a spoiler-heavy plot summary.
Where Do Player-Created Characters Fit?
Custom Operators are recruited through the terminal at the Den. They can use the standard Specializations and fill roles left open by the authored cast. They do not replace the named characters in the story overview.
Hawks and custom recruits have different creation pools. See the character creation guide for species, weapons, appearance, and which decisions can be changed later.
Sources and Limits
This page uses the supplied Zero Command cast list, IGN companion material, GamesRadar team guide, and Epic Games operator guide. Where publications give tactical rankings or build advice, those views remain recommendations rather than cast facts.
